When I was in grad school, my statistics professor declared in our first session that to him the classroom is a sacred thing: in the classroom we can come together to freely exchange opposing ideas without taking up arms. That concept has now become sacred to me. And it applies now (in one man's humble opinion) to this forum we are calling "Open Source Peace." Here we can be part of or an audience to great discussions from diverse points of view, diverse backgrounds, different industries, different levels of experience... and it will undoubtedly be illuminating. The adage goes that one gets out what one puts in; collectively we contribute to this stone soup and we will leave profoundly nurtured. I have also learned about the nature of facilitation. Facilitation is the art of eliciting all available perspectives and ideas; capitalizing on the variety. Here we must self-facilitate, and maintain consciousness of the importance of respecting and even encouraging different points of view with a growth mindset. Perhaps we can say it is our contract as participants in Open Source Peace. We will always be able to find someone who’s smarter than us, and even if we’re the smartest ones in a room, there will undoubtedly be someone who has more knowledge. Just as in Business Law: without consideration there can be no contract. For the speakers and audience members alike, each perspective deserves a voice. The contributions we each can make and allow in this place promote an intellectual pollination that has no equal... because we are all different, yet open. Our openness will lead to new knowledge, and with a no to J.D. Salinger, that knowledge will lead to wisdom (“knowledge should lead to wisdom, and if it doesn’t, it’s just a disgusting waste of time!”). Please join us in this forum, and please do so in the spirit and manner. Thank you in advance for your insights and lessons. Let us remember that with this privilege of sharing, learning, and enjoying comes responsibility. Our responsibility is to make the most out of this new space. Take what you know, what you’ve learned, what you are, out into the world and share it. Foster, facilitate, defend the free exchange of different ideas, and make the world your classroom. • Couples Therapy | Windows Health Clinic

    2. Couples Therapy Find your way back to empathy, vulnerability, safety, and connection. Do you find yourself stuck in a painful cycle of arguing with your partner about the same things with no resolution over and over? Do you wish things could just go back to how they used to be in the beginning? Do you wish your partner would understand that you just want to feel like a priority to them? Like you matter? Like you can count on them? Or you long to feel that you are enough for them and acceptable just as you are? Are you struggling to recover from a partner’s infidelity? Are you frustrated by how long it’s taking your partner to trust you again after you’ve had an affair? Do you feel betrayed, abandoned, disappointed, or hurt by your partner but they just don’t seem to understand? Do you feel lonely, unsupported, unappreciated, or unseen? Have you noticed that the passion and intimacy in your relationship isn't what it used to be but you don't know how to fix it? We specialize in Emotionally Focused Therapy for Couples (EFT), an empirically-validated, highly effective couples therapy. Our team of clinicians will guide you back from reactivity and conflict to safety, peace, and love. Distressed partners no longer see each other as their emotional safe haven. Our lover is supposed to be the one person we can count on who will always respond. Instead, unhappy partners feel emotionally deprived, rejected, even abandoned. In that light, couples' conflicts assume their true meaning: they are frightened protests against eroding connection and a demand for emotional reengagement. -Sue Johnson

Nate describes his career as incredibly rewarding and intellectually challenging, as he has taken special interest in caring for the most complex and acutely ill patient populations. Still, he believes that we have more to offer on a human level, especially as it pertains to the treatment of refractory major depressive disorder, PTSD, substance use/abuse disorders and even chronic pain syndromes. He is hopeful and confident that Windows Health Clinic can shine a light on breakthrough approaches to mental, and therefore physical health. CEO, Founder Michael Ignaffo, MBA Michael is an engineer turned business executive and entrepreneur. After 25 years in Automotive, High Tech, and CPG Industries, COVID-19 served as both inspiration and pivot into Healthcare, in which Michael is passionate about making an impact. There is much opportunity for improvement in the availability and delivery of care, and Michael is inspired to build Windows Health to help people in a direct, measurable, and impactful way. He believes that behavioral health has a lot of leverage for unlocking good health broadly for individuals and couples, who may then enjoy their lives more fully. Michael is especially excited by the proven efficacy of ketamine in combination with psychotherapy to better address treatment-resistant depression, anxiety, addiction, PTSD, and other mental health struggles.
